Full-Time, Hourly (FLSA non-exempt)

Based in Beachwood Ohio, Vantage Agora serves a range of insurance carriers and distributors by supporting their customer service and IT operations. Duties and Activities may include but are not limited to:

  • Handle clearance of new submissions and file set-up of new policies Data Collection to build account summary for underwriters
  • Conduct account inquiries in various systems and platforms Policy registration on a variety of systems Maintain service standards with timely & professional responses to broker requests and timely receipt of underwriting information Telephone and e-mail communications with customers to confirm or obtain data needed for policy issuance and servicing Handle general correspondence and renewal letters Prepare various reports, including spreadsheets Should have complete knowledge on various lines of commercial insurance (Auto, GL, IM, Prop, UMB, WC, OCAC)
  • Should have complete knowledge of Payroll system (Forms 1099/W2) and their impact on WC/OCAC insurance
  • Study insurance proposals
  • Assess ACORD application, background information including reports from specialists/Senior Underwriters where appropriate, in order to effectively assess the risk involved
  • Calculate possible risk and decide how much individuals or organizations should pay for insurance (Rating)
  • Identify and notify conditions to Senior Underwriter that may be applicable on diverse types of policies
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of policies underwritten and decisions made
  • Data Entry into various systems or programs

Desired Qualification: Prior insurance underwriting support experience Understanding of insurance terminology

Education Requirements:

College Degree – Associates Degree at a minimum; 4-year degree preferred


Ability to work in an office environment

Confidence/proficiency with computer systems or applications

Good attention to detail with a focus on quality and timely delivery

Good verbal and written communication skills

Follow directions and adhere to procedures

Flexible and adaptable to change

Clean criminal background check

Experience in the logistics and transportation industry would be an added advantage
