Vantage Agora hosted its second annual OX Workshop in downtown Cleveland, Ohio on September 13 and 14 for leaders who were interested in learning how to achieve Operational Excellence within their organization. The invitation-only event hosted 75 attendees from 24 different cities throughout the United States and India.
Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable
The workshop kicked off with a keynote address from Karen Hough, author of “The Improvisation Edge: Secrets to Building Trust and Radical Collaboration at Work.” She made the connection between improvisation and flexibility, and organizational growth and innovation. During her presentation, Hough urged attendees to “stop avoiding risk and realize that change is not something to fear but should be embraced.”
All guests were given a signed copy of Karen’s soon-to-be released book: “Go With It: Embrace the Unexpected to Drive Change”. The book is scheduled to be released to the public on October 1, 2017 by Berret-Koehler Publishers.
Groundbreaking Technological Advancements
The overall theme of the OX Workshop focused on achieving Operational Excellence in the areas of a company’s workforce and the utilization of new technology. The workshop also explored the benefits and opportunities of technology automation, artificial intelligence, and the possible impact for cost savings and quality control.
During the workshop, Vantage Agora unveiled the latest upgrades to its all-in-one Business Operating System, OX Zion, and reviewed the benefits of the tool:
- Enhanced OX Mail: This feature eliminates the need for expensive third-party email exchange servers and makes team communication simple and seamless.
- Integrated functions: OX Zion’s integrated functionality gives users a one-click option to create tasks and forms directly from OX Mail.
- Improved data visualization for Operational Intelligence: OX Zion’s data visualization includes “heat maps” that give users an immediate and easily-understood, color-coded visual summary of complex data.
- Integrated Matrix: This dashboard function replaces the need for licensing third-party, stand-alone spreadsheet solutions.
Vantage Agora also announced that Gartner – a research and advisory firm providing information technology-related insight for IT and other business leaders located across the world – has called OX Zion “cutting-edge” and “an industry leader.” It was also announced that CIO Applications, a leading national technology publication, has named Vantage Agora a 2017 Top 25 Insurance Technology Company.
Embracing the Challenge
Vantage Agora SVP of Customer Experience & Marketing, Carlos Fuentes, closed out the event by reinforcing the “Yes, and” approach of accepting unexpected new challenges and opportunities.
This year’s event planners were challenged by Vantage Agora’s co-founders, Sudhir Achar, CEO, and Harsha Chaturvedi, COO, to make this year’s event bigger and better than the 2016 OX Workshop. The event planners were also challenged to accomplish this with a 33% smaller budget in 2017 than 2016. Through Vantage Agora’s principles of Operational Excellence, doing more with what you have, and taking on a “Yes, and …” attitude, the event team was able to far exceed the 2016 metrics, even with 33% less money.
Participants also shared their feedback about the workshop and how Vantage Agora’s solutions can add value to businesses.
“Vantage Agora is a Builder. If you’re the Architect, all you have to do is give them your dreams and VA will build it for you.”
“VA can tailor a solution by helping identify new ways of thinking about how to do your business.”
“VA can change your whole business. With OX Zion and VA’s remote staffing solutions, your business will save time and money. Pretty amazing!”
